Bridging Disciplines to Advance
Biomaterials Research

Our team of 25 core PIs and the same number of associated PIs integrates disciplines that truly complement each other in their expertise and technologies — in particular soft matter (chemistry, physics, engineering), synthetic biology, biomaterials and biomedical research, as well as data-driven approaches. We take pride in having a diverse team that combines different nationalities, 40% women, and unites high profile experienced PIs with high potential early career PIs. Our team has formed organically from research programs spanning more than a decade. Experts from the communication sciences will foster trust and understanding in this highly interdisciplinary environment and identify effective communication strategies for a critical topic in a world of misinformation.
